Plain words about what we store, why, and who can see it. Last updated 19 October 2026.
Who we are
Saimio is operated by Codehub Technologies Limited, Christchurch, New Zealand (“we”). Each business using Saimio (“the business”) is the controller of its own customers’ data; we process it on the business’s behalf.
What we store for a business
Your account email and a hashed password; your business name, web address, branding, catalogue, content, settings and staff logins; the orders, bookings, customers, reviews, messages and newsletter subscribers your site collects; and the notification emails and WhatsApp messages sent on your behalf (so delivery can be shown and retried). Payment card details never touch Saimio — they go directly to Stripe. Stripe and messaging credentials you enter are encrypted at rest.
What we store for a business’s customers
Only what they give the business’s website: name, email, phone, addresses, orders, bookings, reviews and messages. Each business sees only its own customers; businesses are isolated from each other at the database layer.
Where it lives
On Microsoft Azure, with daily database backups. Transactional email is delivered through Azure Communication Services; WhatsApp alerts through Meta’s WhatsApp Business platform; payments through Stripe. We do not sell data and we do not use your customers’ data to market to them.
This website
saimio.com sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party trackers. The signup and contact forms send what you type to our API over HTTPS and nowhere else.
Your rights
A business can export its customers and orders to CSV at any time and can ask us to delete its organisation, which removes all of its data. A business’s customers should contact that business for access or deletion; we help the business fulfil it.
